Oatmeal. Never cared for the stuff plain, but marry them with pumpkin, brown sugar, and walnuts?! I DO! Even though it's pumpkin this dish totally reminds me of a staple at our Thanksgiving dinner table; candied yams with butter, brown sugar, walnuts, and of course toasted marshmallows. This is literally that dish's healthier friend.

  • 10gm Chopped Walnuts (2 SmartPoints™)

  • 12 cup Pumpkin puree, canned is fine  (0 SmartPoints™)

  • 2 12tsp Pure Cane Sugar, Golden Brown (2 SmartPoints™)

  • 12cup Oats, 100% Whole Grain (4 SmartPoints™)


  • Step 1

    Combine oatmeal and 1c of water, cook according to package directions. 

  • Step 2

    Once hot and cooked thoroughly, add pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and chopped walnuts. Enjoy!
